korn and slipknot are different...i don't think they sound the same

They are way different. You cant listen to Slipknot and think "Oh this reminds me of a Korn song". It just doesnt work.

But I dont like Korn. I used to, years ago, but now I realise that I cant find anything different in what they do. Its basically the same, with a few exceptions.

Freak on a leash is a classic ... you cant say that Korn suck They were original when they first started out. Oki ... their new stuff, from Untouchables, has been pretty weak (except Here to Stay) but Issues and Follow the Leader are excellent albums ppl!
