Because they claim to be punk (or are cited as a punk band) and they just... aren't. And they come from punk roots and Pop Punk is a massive contradiction. Plus the sacking of the drummer didn't help their cause either. I myself grew up listening to a lot of their stuff and they're a bit of a guilty pleasure. I'll definitely be getting the new album

What really defines "punk"? Cause I think that they are if I had to put a label on it.

I'm not a massive punk fan, I like a few bands but to me it's just a stripped down raw sound where the bands have something to shout about, and they will be heard. Blink-182 have a very poppy production to their albums (after Dude Ranch) and a lot of their lyrics are just toilet humour.

Take Off Your Pants And Jack It..

To me they aren't Punk in the slightest and they do deserve the shit they get. Even though I do kinda like 'em..

I'll agree with you on the poppy sound after Dude Ranch..but they are good which I'm probably the only person on this forum that thinks they are good.

Job for a Cowboy
Led Zeppelin
the Beatles
I have a lot more but this will do.
