And all on strings like cheesewire.

No low action frets here.

There's a link at the end of the clip (2nd along at the bottom) of Bireli age 13.
God given talent.

Simply amazing that he could play that well at such a young age.

I <3 jazz guitar.

Did you watch the Stochelo lesson? I couldn't imagine taking lessons from that guy.

When Michael Angelo Batio masturbates, I bet he wanks a lot.

besides, it's the tone that matters. jimi and SRV and Gilmour could take one note, and make it sound better than malmsteens 100 notes. they evoked emotion through a guitar. all these super-fast, effects drenched guys sound like a sega genuses game. technically, they are good, but where is their soul?
Isn't that what guitar is about? Playing what you feel? if it was just a competition on who was the fastest, we would all play football. and dont get me wrong. there are plenty of non-bluesy guitarists (which is obviously my taste) that have soul. Tommi Iomi for instance. He started heavy metal. Rhandy Rhoads. Brian May. Pete Townsend. What about these guys?

Guitars are made of wood, metal, plastic and wiring... They have no souls. How can you put your soul into a guitar?

We're talking about Guitar here, not Zanpakutō.

I think its stupid to ask people who the best ever is, it just comes down to their favorite music, and/or what they are into at the time...

at the moment I really like Zakk Wylde, but I wouldn't say he's the best ever...
