ironically, The Sleeping are probably worse. perhaps Oli Sykes wears their shirts to make BMTH look better by comparison.
But, to be fair to BMTH they've come leaps and bounds since they first appeared.

I would say in the early 2000's this was the norm. However most metalcore bands today have kinda gotten rid of the scene look. Granted BMTH doesn't show this, but look at DAnny Worsnop from asking alexandria. He used to have the scene look, but then I guess he grew up and got rid of it.
Then there's metalcore bands like As I Lay Dying or All That Remains that have the look or normal metal bands, and should be considered straight up metal

anyways I'd have to agree with you, Protest the hero's music tend to be hard to listen too because every instrument seems to be doing it's own thing
and yeah, Doppelganger is the very definition of "Masterpiece"
Huh, I would say Doppleganger is way more disjointed than Fortress or Scurrilous

I will conciede protest the hero's vocalist is much better than the fall of troy's. but theres something about pth thats really hard for me to listen to
