Every CD has gotten a little worse as with every CD they become a little more catchy and accessible.

I liked Mesmerize, but I got bored with it really fast because there wasn't really much substance to it. Self-titled, by far, the best.

Default System of a Down

In my opinion, which I trust whole-heartedly, SOAD is quite possibly the most talented band making music right now. Mezmerize/Hypnotize was the best album of 2005. I bought it about 4 months ago and have listened to it almost solid since. It is so different from the rest of the music out there. I love how they mix blistering rock with melodic orchestra, and two part harmony, its awesome. If you don't feel good when listening to SOAD, see a doctor for you are probably dead.

I agree.

But I would say "possibly" the best for me...

Thumbs up SOAD Rocks :)

Systems definitly is one of the more unique rock/metal groups out. I also totally see the war/politics references, (ex. BOOM! Sad Statue). My faves are Roulette, Bubbles, and Cigaro (Old school hollywoods' good for a larf). I don't know a lot about them but from what I understand, some of the members are Czec or of heavy european backgrounds (not 100% so don't quote me k?). This seems to lend to their different sound (personally I say polka influence). I also have a copy of another group the lead vocalist is invloved with called Serart. After hearing Serart, I listened to SOAD differently.

Eh, the war messages are too.. I dont know how to put it. Overt and basic, and not in a good way. BYOB for example just sounded immature, screaming "why do they always send the poor" a gazillion times over. Hardly effective, but oh well. Good music, that can make up for it...

Cigaro is one of the worst songs ever.
