Once. I'm too lazy to change my signature constantly every couple of hours.

you assume far too much based on my dislike for RATM and my poor opinion on tom morello.

hendrix on an acoustic still sounds like hendrix. morello without pedals doesn't sound like morello.

you going to make any more assumptions about my tastes based on this comment? continue to ignore how i base my opinions on your boy morello so you can keep crapping on my character?

right. but when you take an acoustic based audioslave song then drop a distorted RATM riff for the bridge in order to stick in a trademark morello solo does it still sound like a natural fit?

Well for one, you're continually arguing with a RATM fan on a thread for RATM fans. I think based on that, I can probably assume that you have some kinda problem.

You also cast the first stone by calling me an idiot.

i'm just bored

i called you an idiot based on your smart ass response to my comment about pop music being something created for a specific teenage demographic. i figured one smart ass comment deserved another one. your 'proof' by showing how music has been marketed in north america over the last 50 years definitely accounts for 90% of the music in existence today...

Have you ever stopped to think about the meaning of the word hyperbole?

I see your point... in the end it's all a matter of taste.

That is what makes Morrello different from the rest though. It is the effects and sound he gets on his guitar. Has nothing to do with what he sounds like on other equipment, its how he sounds on what he choses to play.

For starters watch this video to mark my point.

i'm well aware of the sounds he's capable of pulling out through his pedals (i use 9-13 pedals when i play i'm well aware of their potential). using the guitar as a controller for sounds created through the effect pedals is no different than using a MIDI keyboard hooked up to a synth. it just looks cooler to patch a guitar through pedals. if you hooked up his pedals to a keyboard with a scratch pad and a fader would anyone be able to tell the difference without seeing it?

how about someone explains to me how being reliant on something other than a guitar makes someone a great guitarist. can ANYONE in this thread do that?
