I already said above that heckling the man like that gets old and must be frustrating for him, but the way he reacts does not flatter him.

To be blunt, who the **** cares.

It's not a big deal, people call their friends, people the hate, or people they don't know "***got" all the time. It doesn't mean anything. In a world where some sick freaks would actually cut your head off and **** down your throat in a fit of rage, the guy got off easy. He could've had him roughed up, he could've been a nice guy and played it off, invited him backstage and tortured him to death.

Seriously, it's not a big deal. They are words, and I'm sure him and gay people will get over it sooner rather than later, if they even took offense to begin with. Seemed like everyone stayed, seemed like he went on to entertain the crowd after that.

You act like an *******, there's a good chance that someone's going to react to it. The guy who shouted Bruce's name knew that, that's why he said it. He was probably laughing his ass off and will be telling his buddies/family/kids the story for the rest of his life. That is, if he wasn't assassinated by Paul's hitman after. Who knows?

I understand that some people do, and that's why I said I was about to be blunt. I don't think it's that big of a deal. Really, I can't stand the term homophobia and the concept of it. If you call someone gay or insinuate that someone might be gay, you're homophobic. You call someone a ***got out of anger and you're homophobic. Not everyone is sophisticated, he doesn't necessarily hate gay people, and ***got/homo/gay etc. are just curse words usually, like twat for example.

I do not literally mean that no one cares. It was supposed to be a rhetorical question, but I wasn't thinking and actually put a "?".

Everyone has their threshold for what they deem acceptable with regards to hate. He should have just called the guy an ******* and had his security escort the ******* out. Its not a comedy show so he should have thrown that heckler out on his ass.

No, I really don't see what the big deal is with calling someone a ****** (I prefer to say nigga, as it conveys more humor) fwiw, but I think this post just acknowledges the fact that it's taken a lot more seriously than ***got, so it's a moot point anyways.

Both of those words carry a meaning. Both are used to insult people, in a very narrow, very specific context. They both carry a lot of weight and a lot of hate.

You can choose to ignore that and consider them both to be generic insults if you wish, but you really shouldn't be so surprised when some people take offence. You know what those words mean. It's your choice to ignore their meaning, you can't expect everyone else to follow you.

I don't expect anyone else to follow me. I've already said that it was the wrong thing to say, but it's just not that big of a deal that I'm going to form a negative opinion on him as a person over it.

There's a lot of people who've called someone a ***got or a homo or gay at some point in their life for me to think they're all twats.

But I said what I said about Di'Anno because of the fact he responds to a heckler by attacking Bruce Dickinson and Iron Maiden. Thats why I think he's a pretty desperate, bitter dude. I said that in my first two posts before you replied to me.

Yes, I don't think the rest of it flatters him at all. I think it does say something about the kind of person he is, but that wasn't the point of my post.
