Kreator is one of the few bands that can rival Slayer, but they've always followed in there footsteps.

Lame, I thought this was a Sleater Kenney thread when I first saw it.

I'll take Kreator over Slayer because none of their albums suck.

^^^
First two KREATOR albums are abysmal and badly produced to boot. Although there are only a few good tracks on SHOW NO MERCY and title track aside (even though it's a frickin good tune) HELL AWAITS is not a favourite either.

Dude, "Endless Pain" rocked. I like the poor production quality now and then. Sounds more raw and jagged.

I'm too punk rock to care about production!

No I am a musical snob, when it comes to some productions. It sounds like it was recorded in a toilet, but to each his own!

In some cases, bad production quality makes music, I guess, more "nostalgic" or "antiquated," for lack of a better word. Then you get music that's been totally souped up by software and prettied up, and then when you go hear the band play on stage, they either suck and/or can't play as well as the cd.

I guess there's a fine line between good bad production/bad bad production, as well as good good production/bad good production.

Wow, that made no sense. I'm sorry.

No I get you entirely. A lot of punk music (late 70's) sounds better without the refinement of good production. However I hate a bad snare sound and ENDLESS PAIN is just ruined by this. The album on my mp3 player at the moment is EXTREME AGRESSION and it holds up pretty well, considering it is nearly twenty years old!
