Actually I hate them quite a bit...mainly because music critics seem to love them now and actual bands who know how to a write a song from start to finish don't get credit. So theses guys have the "music theory" thing going...doesn't mean they write good songs people want to hear.

Yeah but the thing is Nirvana were already popular before Kurt died so...

^You do make a point...to their credit, Nirvana was huge before Kurt died. It's not like, Kurt died, and suddely their music got popular.

Mozart's been gone for a pretty long time, people still love his music.

That's a bit of an arrogant statement, don't you think? Who are you to tell people why they like a band?

I wasn't ripping on him, I was elaborating upon what I said earlier.

Yeah, I'd say they were pretty huge, being compared to the Beatles and all.

Where do people get the whole critically acclaimed thing...

Hardly reviled, but certainly not universally loved. The average rating is about 4 stars, which is nothing compared to some bands such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, etc. They're well liked but not acclaimed.

Did you even read the ratings on there? 4/5 is a fantastic rating, they were even given 5/5 once too. There is one bad rating on there, that is all.

You don't have to be universally considered better than the fucking Beatles to be critically acclaimed.
