A: bet you haven't heard it
B: that doesn't even make sense. how can the album be good, but you only like a few songs? that would make it average from your standpoint at best.

I have the new album, its allright, some songs are really good, some are so bland and boring, and i hate dave grohls song writing....but id say they are one of the best rock badns out there on the charts right now by far

I agree with you there. And that's precisely what's so fackin' sad.

Because they are for entertainment, not real music.

I really don’t get why you people are blind to the greatness of the foo fighters there new cd is amazing…..
Every song on there Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace is a strong song. Each song is different and shows the wide range of talent they have. You get a great fast song with pretender and a glamish song with Long Road to Ruin and a southern rock song with Summer ends .

Let it Die is by far one of the best songs written by a current artist………..which starts with careful acoustic probing ("In too deep and out of time/Why'd you have to go and let it die?"), then blows up into a full-metal cross-examination.

Liz or whatever if you don’t like dave Grohls lyrics I would suggest picking up In Your Honor the acoustic side is amazing above amazing…..

If you read the first post in the thread you'll see he wanted rock music that's in the charts.

I also have in you honour, which i think was a far better album,( loved the acoustic disk) and i do think he is great at writing tunes and melodies, but his lyrics are definatly pretty weak. i mean, the new album is good, and the pretenders is probably the best charted rock song of 2007 by far, but the ablum does have lots of weak song (Statues, but honesly, stranger things have happened)

Ya, he's one of the worst lyricists I've legit ever heard. I'd actually go as far as to put him on par with Chad Kroeger in the lyrics department.
