Everyone has their own thoughts on this and mine are he killed himself, i don't care what you throw at me I'm not going to believe any different unless Kurt himself comes back and tells us all what happened.

Metal kids are draw to metal in my opinion because they have inferiority complexes and they want to get away from themselves and reality as much as possible. Their frail boring existances seem tolerable when they throw on headphones and pretend to be viking warriors, or some form of friggen monster.

Do yourself a favor man, no one thinks you're cool because you're "intense." I've seen you write here before "Metal will never catch on because its just to crazy and out of control." And written between the lines you just wished you weren't boring.

Don't go into a Nirvana thread if you don't like them, you were warned and doing that should get you some form of citation. Or at the very least, we should be allowed to flame the holy hell out of you.

its people like you that make me laugh...someone says something that someone else doesnt like.then they go into this whole thing about the way that they are. thats my opinion and i have a right to it. and as far as being "intense" all i have to say to that is "i am what i am and you dont like it thats your problem"...your just an example of all the other stereotypical *******s in this country.:finger: .. metal wont catch on cause its so crazy?...thats the reason so many people like metal...its crazy and out of the ordinary..and its another form of expression.

I love Nirvana. They have inspired me in so many ways and have introduced me to tons of new music. I do think they are a tad overrated though, and people spend WAY too much time trying to figure out if Kurt killed himself or not, he's dead, he's not coming back, whether it was murder or suicide doesn't matter because there's only one person who knows that, and he ain't talking.

Anywho, Nirvana was awesome. :)

as for Nirvana, and Nirvana only, they were a great band. the lyrics were sarcastic yet honest, the music was unique for the time period, and you really can't compare them with anyone else before them. sure you have the sound-a-likes now but atleast you can say Nirvana came first.
but of course i'm sure there is someone on this site that will come on and twist my words and now find a million bands that sound exactly like Nirvana before the 90's. oh well.

I've liked Nirvana for quite sometime, and i totally
agree about the 13 year old Good Charlotte fans wearing the Nirvana hoodies. its annoying and disrespectful to a good band.


btw if any of you are interested check out the Kurt Cobain murder case.
it gives you a lot of factual, intresting information about what happened.
even if you don't believe he was murdered i encourage you to check it out anyway. and if while your there and you get convinced of his murder sign the petition to get it reopened and tell your friends and family about the case.

its just my opinion, nothing more, nothing less.

Kurt Cobain was a near talentless ****. He released two decent albums in his entire career one of which was mainly comprised of covers of bands far greater than Nirvana could ever be. The only reason Nirvana isn't forgotten now is because Cobain put a shotgun to his mouth. If not for that Nirvana would just be another nineties has-been band and Cobain would be on I Love The Nineties with Eddie Vedder talking about Furbies. Seriously, people. Get the over him, check out some of his influences. The Pixies, Sonic Youth, The Vaselines, the Meat Puppets, Husker Du, and My Bloody Valentine for starters. Honestly, I think this is a great post. And you probably got banned for stating some unpopular opinions. I highlighted some of the comments that I either really liked or got a good laugh out of.

As far as the person who made the Joy Division influence claim, I don't see that at all. Add the Melvins to the above list, and you've got a good group of bands that receive far less attention combined than the collective ejaculation of fanatics who still believe in the Cobain murder fantasy/conspiracy.
