Dude, music is not a race; you can't just have 4 or 5 idiots on stage trying to beat each other to the end of each song and expect it to be awesome. And it's not a ****ing make-up show where you can just cover up every blemish and pass it off as beauty.

AND being a huge fan of Death, here are some videos of theirs. Now I double dog e-dare you to tell me that Dragonforce is better than these guys...

personally i dont like either but when it comes down to it....

i'd say Death is the better band but Dragon Force is a bit easier on the ears. like i said tho..i dont care for either

It depends on whether you like power or death metal more. Quite personally, I prefer power metal, but Death are one of the best in their genre.

i am really not impressed with any of the Dragonforce songs I've heard

also I'm one to eschew technical abilitiies and favour actual songwriting

which is why I prefer early Fates Warning to mid to late, if you want to talk about power metal

I very strongly agree with that. I've never liked the tendency some power metal bands have to only develop one idea in songwriting, which is essentially what Dragonforce do, and focus on cramming as many notes as they can into their guitar solos.

Fate's Warning are much more diverse, also worthy of merit here is Hammerfall.

I'm trying to suggest some better alternatives for power metal, so feel free to post some links to some Fate's Warning songs that you like.
