Why are you so defensive? Have you read the name of this site yet? Were not supposed to get along, that's what makes it fun. By the way, I added a response to your indie comment, if you still care.

I can't tell if he's just has a really sarcastic sense of humor, or is way too defensive. Called me an ******* for criticizing his choice of dream guitarists.

Lmao. Let's hope it's the former, although sarcasm is pretty hard to convey over the internet I have to admit. He'll learn the ropes of these forums soon enough.

That does make you an ******* though. It would be best if we all agreed.

Although i guess that makes me an ******* for disagreeing with you.

If you're being humorous I can't tell, sorry. But yah, in the words of Ian Bavitz: Or maybe you're just an *******; and maybe I'm just an *******.

I mentioned that once (the case of punk, specifically). But then, if you want to start doing that, you could take it even further and have hiphop as a form of rock. Nah, I think using rock too generally is very risky. Best way is to leave VERY conventionalized genres as they are and with their own label, in spite of the point that they were borne out of rock music.

Hip hops roots are in jazz and soul, most importantly Gil Scott-Heron. It's not a form of rock at all and wasn't born out of it either. I wish people would stop thinking rock is THE genre.

I'd be against this simply because if everything was lumped into one forum then most threads would be pushed back to the 2nd page in no time at all, its better to have sub-forums.
