If you mean strictly electronic releases done by otherwise metal bands, Beherit's "Electronic Doom Synthesis" and Ildjarn-Nidhogg's Hardangervidda parts 1 & 2 are my favorites. Traditional releases by these bands pair nicely with these, as they highlight the similarities between otherwise chaotic, minimilastic black metal and the music of groups such as Tangerine Dream.
Burzum did some albums in this style, as did Fenriz of Darkthrone (under the Nepture Towers banner) - but I think these albums are rather boring. |

Wow this is really good! I will have to look more into Alcest, is this their newer stuff because wikipedia has them associated with black metal. Anyways, as a side- heard Godflesh for the first time today...little bit of a doozy, but like with anything in extreme metal, its probably an acquired taste. Also, what are your thoughts about Deathspell Omega?

Anyone who likes TooL should take a listen to a band called "Karnivool", their latest album is called Sound Awake, really awesome stuff! Hope some one enjoys it : )

Awesome rock songs? Help?!
I'd like to know if any of you know of a fun, party rock song that's not too suggestive but still makes you want to rock out? A good guitar solo would be cool too.
