I can't stand when I goto a live show and the band sits there and lectures me about politics. I mean if politics is your music, that's cool, but ****ing play the damn songs. They get on stage and think they are really reaching out to all these people and changing their mind. I have never even been slightly moved by what any artist has ever told me about politics. Most of them are so damn paper thin about it anyways. Of course there is some execptions, but I didn't really walk away from Rage Against The Machine either times wanting to overthrow my government... I was thinking "damn that was some badass music".

I saw Public Enemy live and it was bloody incredible, one of the best gigs i've been to, but Flav insisted on a 15 minute rant at the end of the gig about peace and love and war and trust and THEN I LOST COUNT. Also we had to put the peace sign up, my arm hurt.
I don't really mind the beliefs most bands have, truth is though it slows down a good gig and who wants that?
