^ does that actually happen?
i hate stratching a cd on running a track out, that really p*sses me off!

franscar 01-14-2005 10:43 AM

I mean when the cd box is one way, and the cd is the other so all the writing on the cd is upside down, or if there is a pattern that carries on across the cd artwork from the box that it gets disrupted.

Yes, it's geeky, but meh.

MUSE girl 01-14-2005 10:56 AM

I hate when people make fun of someone's music taste and they are ignorant to what it is.

Out with my friends last week slagging me for listening to older bands like The Kinks and Jefferson Airplane, then 'Somebody to Love' came on, followed by 'You really got me' and they all screamed "I love this song!!" both times. Seriously...

Also hate my family laughing about my music taste, again without having the slightest clue what it is. They think I listen to rap music, because I'm not old and wrinky, basically. I'm pretty sure I could have saved them a fortune in Frank Sinatra and Otis Redding cds if only they'd stop taking the piss long enough to hear what's actually coming out my speakers

I also hate moshpits. I'm not adverse to a bit of jumping around, sweating and being up more up close and personal with hundreds of strangers than I would anywhere else. But I just don't get why people have to push each other around really hard.

i don't mind that, just as long as you don't bring me into it when i'm trying to enjoy a show.

i must say that i find crowd surfers are much more annoying.

u see rock concerts have goten away from being about the music and its more just a big party so we push each other around when we really like the song. I remember when people used to clap and sing along and watch the band.

Yeah my dad was the same , when I was in my early teens I`d listen to metal but by the time I hit 16 I became bored of it & branched out, but for some reason my dad kept on thinking I was into metal , even though I`d show him new stuff I got like The Stones or The Who.He`d come home with Smiths , Roxy Music , REM & Elvis Costello & i`d say to him 'I dunno why you got those for I already have them'.

I also hate people who say shit about a genre they don't know about. Like this asshole I was arguing with a couple days who thinks metal is superior to punk, when he was sitting there the whole time saying 'yeah blink-182 sucks punk sucks!'. Then he finds the lyrics to this song I like and tries to say something about it being about cats...it had nothing to do with fucking cats.

I hate people who refuse to accept the fact that all of those mainstream bands being passed off as punk aren't punk at all. And I hate it when people call you 'genre anal' for requesting a pop-punk forum for those bands to be discussed in...
