Yeah, but in this case you can blame the fan who left out the "just kidding" part when reporting his news. Fuckin' Greg!

Well when I read that it was all according to an anonymous fan, I assumed that there was a good chance that it was bull****, possibly planted by Tool themselves.

As much as I like Tool, they can be so damn pretentious. The whole prank the fans thing, is a douchebag, lame thing to do. Got old.

I think my excitement for them has just vanished at this point. Just sayin'.

It was not the band who did it. It was a fan who asked Adam at a convention when the new album was going to be out and he jokingly told him "tomorrow" and then added "just kidding", and the fan went online and reported that the album was set for a release this year. His twitter message is to the fan who reported it.

Speaking about the pranks in general.

It's surprising they made an article according to an anonymous fan. If I came out and said Keith Richards told me Rolling Stones are planning to do a movie with rainbow cat cartoons who sound like the chipmunks playing each band member, I shall expect to see an article by next week. :)

Yeah, it just smells like a crock of ****. Tool have already proven themselves to be adept in the art of misinformation, and I attribute this to the band.

Tool's new album...

How does everyone think it's going to compare to their other albums?

New Tool Album Soon!

It's happening...as we speak.

Frownland 04-21-2015 02:32 PM

Sure it is.

Neurotripsicks 04-21-2015 04:16 PM

It's true. There's a video of Danny playing some sort if modern electronic drum kit which sounds amazing and I hope is on the new album.
