Beyond the Veil by Tristania. I could not imagine a better album than that, although it is certainly not for everyone.

Blackbird by Alter Bridge

My most listened to album on last.fm, every song is a five star song for me. I will never ever get sick of this album.

Either Led Zeppelin IV,Jane's Addiction's Ritual De Lo Habitual, or System Of A Down's Toxicity.

The answer depends on the mood I'm in. Lately I've been playing Darkthrone - A Blaze in the Northern Sky, a lot. I always seem to keep coming back to this one...a witches brew of goth-punk, death and black metal fury.

admittedly i haven't listened to either album since sometime in the early 90s but i remember the first disc being a much stronger album than the 2nd.
I have the exact opposite opinion from you on part of this. I think II is far, far superior to I, and it's I that's chock full of filler. That said, I wouldn't rate any GnR album as my favorite rock/metal of all time and I think it's pretty funny that anyone would describe GnR as sounding like nothing else.

I'll assume you meant to say you wouldn't rate any GnR album as your favorite rock/metal of all time.

I loved those albums when they came out. I even pre-ordered them, the first time I pre-ordered music evar! "You Could be Mine" was the shiz! That said, one of the few times I had the radio on in the past few years I heard it...and it sounded like total shit. The vocals were so whiny and terrible. Bleh!! I couldn't believe I used to go gagga for that song. I couldn't even tell you whether I liked I or II better, don't remember.

Favorite rock/metal album of all time? Ha! There are way too many rock albums I love to choose one. Specific to metal and not rock as a whole, that might be easier. But still not easy.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.
