It would be great to get your opinions as a newbie on these albums and what you think. First impressions are important but as you probably know, most of these albums will need repeated listens to really see if you like them.

I definitely wouldn't consider Angel Dust to be a newbie album, but that's me.

The poster is a hip hop fan so listening to Faith No More is preferible to listening to Led Zep.

Seems clear to me that since the OP is coming from a hip hop background and based on what he's said he already likes, he'd probably like stuff that is mostly beat driven. I'd recommend:

Deftones - White Pony or Diamond Eyes
Helmet - Meantime
The Notwist - Neon Golden
OK Go - Self titled or Oh No
Thousand Foot Krutch - Set It Off or Phenomenon
311 - Soundsystem and/or Transistor
The Heavy - Great Vengeance & Furious Fire
Death From Above 1979 - You're A Woman, I'm A Machine
The Datsuns - self titled
Beck - Guero
Kasabian - self titled
Clutch - Blast Tyrant
Weezer - Pinkerton or the Red Album
Fugazi - 13 Songs
Sublime - self titled
Dan the Automator - Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By
Citizen Cope - Self titled
Incubus - Make Yourself or Morning View
Rollins Band - Weight or The End of Silence
Bullfrog - Self titled
Superdrag - In the Valley of Dying Stars
Filter - Short Bus
Dynamite Hack - Superfast
Pinback - self titled or Autumn of the Seraphs
Radiohead - (just about anything)
Ted Leo & The Pharmacists - Living With the Living

...that should be enough to get you started.

S.C.I.E.N.C.E. - Incubus
Make Yourself - Incubus
Morning View - Incubus

Can't go wrong with those. And I'd like to mention Rage Against the Machine one more time.

While we're on the topic of RATM, we should probably also mention...

One Day as a Lion's self titled album
Quicksand's epic album "Slip"
Orange 9mm's "Driver Not Included"

I'd be a little more updated, I guess, so I'll just say that most System Of A Down fans I know are also fans of Tool, and I think they'd be worth looking into.

I'm in love with your tastes!

Most of these albums are either favorites of mine, recently put into my library, or something I need to check out!

Here's a few more ya (as if we didn't already give you enough):

These are albums I consider to be "essential":
Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way
Machine Head - Deep Purple
In Rock - Deep Purple
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon
The Eagles - Hotel California

These are others I like that you might like as well (some on the heavier side):
Lordi - The Arockalypse
Hatebreed - S/T
Hellyeah - Stampede
Megadeth - Countdown To Extinction
Static-X - Cannibal
Otep - The Ascension
