Yup. Slayer had much better peaks though.

I need to hear this Papa Roach/Metallica collaboration. What's it called, Nunu?

Ummm yeha not really sure about that.

Listen to Christ Illusion from beginning to end.

That was 2006.

What was Metallica doing then? Country?

Bought it when it first came out and played the hell out of it, but that was their first album since Seasons in the Abyss, a full sixteen years before, that didn't suck. Then they released ****ing World Painted Blood. All that needs to be said. Slayer are simply a tired band with nothing left to give, and with only two remaining original members, they aren't even really Slayer anymore.

Honestly, I'd take Load and Reload over anything Slayer released in the nineties, and no matter how poorly St. Anger was produced, no matter how much it desperately needed to be edited, and no matter how awful James Hetfield sounds now, that album still took bigger risks than anything Slayer has ever done. It's certainly not a good album, but if they basically cut every song in half and removed a few of them, you'd actually be left with a pretty solid, 30-40 minute alt metal album. I sure as hell respect it more than the tepid, backpedaling retread that was Death Magnetic.

*pst!* Batty. Seasons in the Abyss was released in 1990.

Thrash. This is thrash. Metallica hasn't been thrash since the 80s and Megadeth is doing country now. Anthrax has one album worth a listen. I like World Painted Blood. It's heavier than anything Metallica or Megadeth has done since 1990. Also the 2 members are from exodus so it should sound pretty amazing. I've already heard a song from Repentless and it was decent.

Load over Reign In Blood?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I need to hear this new development but I'm too lazy to listen to their new stuff.

Like how new? I like World Painted Blood. It's really good and not even by comparison to other bands it's good for the time it came out. 2009 or something.

I remember when I bought Load the day it came out. We used to go booze cruising out in the country. We listened to it all the way through and I remember my best friend at the time hit eject and threw it out the window and put in Divine Intervention, which I think came out a few years prior, and it was one of the best metal experiences I've ever had! I was so depressed Metallica was making **** music and Slayer came to the rescue.

I'll never forget that and have a lot of respect for the band. Always stayed true.

I was referring to Megadeth doing country since I was unaware of that. I know all about Slayer and Metallica's discography.
