I might just be letting my Tool fanaticism go to my head, but for me Aenima and Lateralus have such a different feel. Like if any one song was missing from either album it would just feel different, and they both manage to evoke different emotions in different ways. I think if you switched Eulogy and The Grudge, for instance, it wouldn't really work.

But I'm probably just rambling. Feel free to ignore me.

Yeah gotta agree with CA. There is a distinct Aenima sound. All the tracks on Aenima embody it. Lateralus is the same but it again has a different overall sound.

Tool is the only one of those bands I even romotely like, besides APC's first album.
