Not a fan of either, but I suppose I'll go with W.A.S.P. **** Like a Beast trumps any of the Motley tracks, therefore W.A.S.P. wins.

I`ve always had a soft spot for the sleazy, catchy and tacky sound of Motley Crue....even though I know they`re real garbage and if it had been their debut album on here they would`ve won. W.A.S.P on the other hand, often get lumped in with the hair metal brigade mostly from their image, but music wise they were more aggressive than most of the other hair metal acts and most importantly they put out a big metal sound (arena metal) akin to other bands of the period Accept, Riot, Manowar and Anvil to name a few and their debut album is a good album.

Shout at the Devil is a classic that I still listen to.

I think The Last Command is the best WASP album and i've not heard that in about 15 years so I have to give it to the Crue.

I expected this to be another landslide vote.

W.A.S.P is better than MC in pretty much every way (I don't like either band though). Most of the songs in SATD sound like they could be filler tracks in the WASP album. Plus the gimmicky live shows by WASP were way more interesting (whipping a captive woman, fake blood, etc).

It was the band's first single and originally on the album but was then later removed to keep the album from being banned from record stores and chain-retailers. It was also on the 1997 re-issue of the same album.

I'll go with Motley Crue over W.A.S.P any day.

No contest for me, do not like Motley Crue, but W.A.S.P. as said had a fun stage show and wrote music that was fun as well. They are like The Cramps to me.

W.A.S.P.'s first album is pretty awesome, but Shout at the Devil is just one of my fav metal albums. Say what you want about their later ****, it certainly deserves the hate, but their first two albums were quality.

right on. and i agree. Venom is awesome, I love "Teachers Pet", has a real punk feel to it as well.

And I think the song "Fuck Like a Beast" truly sucks. The re-release of W.A.S.P. includes it and drags the album way down. Shock value can only go far. The rest of the album is far better than that song but it still can't beat "Shout at the Devil"

I`m a big fan of all three of these melodic death metal albums and as much as I love that Whoracle album Slaughter of the Soul pretty much slaughters everything.......its one of the best metal albums ever recorded.
