Currently listening to Alienigma and it's probably their best album.

I heard on the news that they'd dug some kid up out Indiana way.

Still on my Agent Steel kick and the album Omega Conspiracy is a piece of classic late 1990s trash, it sounds like what Iron Maiden would sound like if they were a thrash band and there is a touch of Metallica as well and Bruce Hall is a great vocalist.

It is good to have turned someone else onto modern Agent Steel. If they weren't so obscure in the eighties then I imagine they'd be one of the top tier reformed thrash bands these days.

Three reasons why they were never popular: 1. Original vocalist John Cyriis wasn't to everybody's taste 2. They played speed metal when they should've played thrash 3. Capitol had just signed Megadeth and also wanted to sign Agent Steel, but Agent Steel were too busy arguing with the record company and amongst themselves to get their act together.

They're second album Unstoppable Force though from this period is a great album.

Wasn't Agent Steel on Metal Blade though? Which is a pretty big label. Think I remember hearing them on a MB comp.

As far as I can see it was for their third album Omega Conspiracy that they were. But by then their chance had long gone as they should have struck big back in the mid 1980s.

I've grown to really love their 1995 album Heart of the Ages over the past few months. A seriously epic album.
