lol I have a friend who is totally in love with Anvil. I have a hard time picking a #1 Canadian metal band, but SYL, Voivod, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, and Kataklysm are all up there.

Oh, and Protest the Hero are pretty wicked too.

I know Razor, and I agree that they're pretty good. Violent Restitution and Evil Invaders are far beyond the rest of their discog though imo.

Most Canadian bands only have two good albums. Strapping Young Lad is one notable exception. Maybe I'll just go with them as the best Canadian band.

I mean, Alien and City are the only two really worthy of that sort of praise. Canadian bands are here for a good time, not a long time.

I could swear they've got more **** that's awesome, but I've been lazy about really listening to them. Regardless, **** Voivod. After listening to Die Kreuzen my dislike for them has become contempt for their inferior attempt at thrashifying their guitar sound.

I hated Voivod until I realized that I was confusing them with Volbeat and Voivod's music is actually amazing.
