this is actually kinda cool for that. I thought this album was gonna be mad gay after seeing the album cover... and well maybe it still is, but I ended up liking it

Yo where is the batlord?

Batlord man, this is some good "The Thing That Should Not Be,"/"Harvester of Sorrow" worship.

The new Metallica is surprisingly not **** at all. I can't listen to it in one sitting based on the two times I've tried, but it's got some good tracks on there and most of the songs don't feel cashed in like Death Magnetic was.

I agree. It's not very good, and I haven't been able to make it through all the way without taking a break, but it's better than Death Magnetic without a doubt.

I'm confused how a band that has released so much **** recently can actually make something half-decent. I didn't think it was possible.

I think that Metallica is one of the only bands that can wow me simply by not sucking.

That album is the ****.
Thanks, Batlord.
Great musicianship, cool vocals, amazing sound.
Blasting it on my way from work felt ****ing cathartic.

Listened to the first half of the album before work, and while I wasn't totally blown away on an objective level I was definitely floored that Metallica could actually release a consistently good album. Some songs and parts of songs might actually stick in my head after listening to them.

And this is some good Diamond Head worship/plagiarism (I think they might have straight up lifted part or parts of "Am I Evil"). Heavy as all ****.

I can't think of a bad song yet, but more than a few that were satisfying while not being entirely memorable. If I ever make a Metallica playlist there might actually be some songs from this album on it.

I ****in' told you, bitch. One of the best thrash albums, live or otherwise, I've ever heard.
