Hey, I was just mocking the band's name. I didn't say anything about the music.

Draconian is more death/doom wrapped up in a Gothic package.

Damn good album.

As for me I picked up Psalm 69 by Ministry on CD for a whole pound!

It's funny, but I have a friend whom whenever we go music shopping I am always over in the metal and he's always in the rap. He basically has less than a percent of anything other than rap, and I have about 40% or so of music other than metal and classic rock. Thing is, he likes rock and metal, and doesn't understand why I hate, can't frikkin' stand, rap. I like Funky Cold Madena by Ton Loc, It's Tricky by Run DMC, and a couple House of Pain songs, plus that one song, Loser, by Beck. And that is about all the rap that I like. Oh, I also like What It's Like by Everlast, too, but that's mostly because it has more of a sing/melody kind of presentation than most rap does. I was listening to the Clash the other day and Guns of Brixton sounded a bit like rap, lyrical speaking. I was thinking that maybe rap got its start through listening to punk, which is where Thrash supposedly came from.

I wonder myself why I dislike rap so much. I was thinking that it might be a shortcoming of mine, or maybe it's just because rap sucks...? It isn't as if I really believe that wholeheartedly, just subjectively.

Well, I've gotten a few metal CDs here recently...

Angel Witch - s/t

Anthrax - Stomp 442/Spreading the Disease/Among the Living

Anvil - Strength of Steel

Armored Saint - Saints will Conquer

Axe - Axeology 1979-2001... some are rerecorded (My rap friend got this for me)

Blue Oyster Cult - Tyranny and Mutation/Secret Treaties/Agents of Fortune

Britny Fox - Best of

Iced Earth - Night of the Stormrider... remix

Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast/Seventh Son of a Seventh Son/No prayer for the Dying

Mastodon - Remission

Venom - Welcome to Hell

Wolfmother - Cosmic Egg .... they seem a mix between punk and metal. Tell me if I am wrong, I don't know.

Yeah, baby! Throw "Spectres" on there too. "The Golden Age of Leather" rocks!
