I find a lot of people try to justify thier lack of interest and mislabled emotive reaction to music, artists and so on in some silly ass ways. Religeous views, an artists attitudes or actions etc. Its as if they were talking about someone they knew. Simple fact of it, you either like it or dont. Anything else stated otherwise is nothing more than a self justification excercise, kin to "verbal masterbation". For the record I haven't found Creed to be relevent since My Own Prison.

They sound almost exactly like STP, but with a lot of preachy crap.

All of that post-grunge crap just sounds so weak.

Really? STP? Are you referring mostly to Core?

Core or Purple, not much of a difference there.

Ive seen some half witted comparrisons before, but STP? I saw Pearl Jam earlier in the thread but damn, makes me wonder. Kinda like the teem "Post-Grunge". Doesnt exist, it would be kin to "post metal" and "post rock" which there are numerous bands to compare: Isis, Russian Circles, This Will Destroy You, Unfortunaut etc. But flat out if you can compare Creed to Pearl Jam and STP, you really have no fundemental understanding of music theory and approach and have no actual passion for music. Just listen to it, kinda like how people just watch tv and eat hot pockets.

They have never been a huge favourite of mine, but I certainly dont think they are terrible. There are much worse bands out there. I have a few of their songs on my iPod.

Half witted? He sounds like hes trying very hard to be Eddie Vedder to me. And they do have that element of sound akin to the guitar work of STP. So thats two people who think that and one who seems to be some type of music major wannabe telling us were wrong. Hope you enjoy those hot pockets with your Creed marathon.

what has a "fundamental understanding of music" got anything to do with "appreciation of music"?

if, anything, I find it detracts from enjoyment
