Its cliche for a reason, and their a large reason for why its cliche, because everyone copied them.

"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" - A folk song by Anne Bredon, this was originally credited as "traditional, arranged by Jimmy Page," then "words and music by Jimmy Page," and then, following legal action, "Bredon/Page/Plant."

"Black Mountain Side" - uncredited version of a traditional folk tune previously recorded by Bert Jansch.

"Bring It On Home" - the first section is an uncredited cover of the Willie Dixon tune.

"Communication Breakdown" - derived from Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown."

"Custard Pie" - uncredited cover of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down," with lyrics from Sleepy John Estes's "Drop Down Daddy."

"Dazed And Confused" - uncredited cover of the Jake Holmes song.

"Hats Off To (Roy) Harper" - uncredited version of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down."

"How Many More Times" - Part one is an uncredited cover of the Howlin' Wolf song. Part two is an uncredited cover of Albert King's "The Hunter."

"In My Time Of Dying" - uncredited cover of the traditional song (as heard on Bob Dylan's debut).

"The Lemon Song" - uncredited cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" - Wolf's publisher sued Zeppelin in the early 70s and settled out of court.

"Moby ****" - written and first recorded by Sleepy John Estes under the title "The Girl I Love."

"Nobody's Fault But Mine" - uncredited cover of the Blind Willie Johnson blues.

"Since I've Been Lovin' You" - lyrics are the same as Moby Grape's "Never," though the music isn't similar.

"Stairway To Heaven" - the main guitar line is from "Taurus" by Spirit.

"White Summer" - uncredited cover of Davey Graham's "She Moved Through The Fair."

"Whole Lotta Love" - lyrics are from the Willie Dixon blues "You Need Love."

You missed out Tangerine , which was originally a song he wrote with the Yardbirds , The other members of the Yardbirds wern`t credited when it finally ended up on a Led Zep album.

if by missed you meant didn't highlight when he copy and pasted it, then I'll agree. The infatuation with them "stealing" is well documented, but im fairly certain you can do that witha ton of bands, I'd just actually have to do work. $20 proverbial dollars says you've never heard half of the "originals."

I don't know why I keep defending bands I don't care for this much, but im not going to allow the condemnation of a band for the same sin everyone else makes.

Edit: nd hey, furthermore is every band that rips off led zeppelin ripping off these guys too or is that cutting to close to the bands you like?

Depends on the song, and not at all.

Nickelback sucks way, way more. I met Wes, the Puddle of Mudd's lead singer, in Toledo, OH the night before he was arrested and he's actually a pretty cool guy.
Of course, I was super drunk off of tequila at the time...

Even though you will most certainly turn this around and start attacking me for no real reason, that was pwnage.

I've seen the same exact words and everything quoted by other fanatical Zep haters, so not only are they doing what they accuse Zep of doing, they're merely using some aforementioned allegations that they haven't even bothered to do background checks on to justify their misinformed opinions... I can honestly say that I have visited the majority of Anti-Zeppelin sites to do my own research on the matter, I can confirm that the majority of claims are based on distorted facts and ones own personal opinions about songs that "kinda" sound "sort of alike", rather than anything worthy of a valid argument.

Because if you did you would come to find that most of the allegations of plagiarism are incredibly exagerated.

The STH opening being a ripoff of Spirits "Taurus" thing is one paticular example of pure bullsh*t... It's barely even the same chord progression, let alone sounding even remotely similar.

Most of the artists Zep are accused of stealing from are blues artists, who make a habit out of plagiarising other works in their own right, and it only increases the irony level that many of Zeppelins critics are blues purists... It's all about double standards.

Ethan, I like you and all, but your arguments on this matter is beginning to annoy the hell out of me, that is to say if they even qualify as arguments at all, since what you're really doing is little more than saying "OMG they f*cking suck" and "What that guy says is TROOF", oh well thats just me, I have an overall problem with emo fans calling anything "cliche".
