Gave it another listen because of Bat providing the lyrics.

This part was cool:

I cannot fall in love
love is for them
Lusting for the sky.

The rest is just distorted gibberish IMO.

Do you not like it musically or are you just talking about the quality of Varg's pronunciation/production?

The music is cool although I think they are trying too hard - you don't need to keep the 120BPM double bass drum **** going so much. And the guitar solo...... kinda sucks IMO.

I'm clearly out of my league with this style of vocalizing.

lol "the solo kinda sucks"

It's an anti-lead, to be fair, and is about the third best moment in Burzum history, after the epic riff about 4 minutes into "Et hvitt lys over skogen" and when the drums kick in during the main riff of "Jesus Dod".

Ok, in that context it's perfect. Kinda like a Beatles Harrison solo. Just enough to fit the melody but nothing more.

Again, I'm way out of my league with this stuff.

That's fine man, I was just curious if it was just that or the music that you were criticizing.

It's epic to the max. That song is put together very well I think. Check this out, his guitar playing is a little rusty, and the guitar itself sucks, but he still highlights his intent behind each different riff and melody.

Apparently he would scream himself hoarse before recording.

And it's not a they. Burzum is a one man project.

Love it when the clean, kinda spoken vocals come in.
Well, I actually like everything about this song.
Remember walking home through the foggy woods at night, listening to it as a teenager. Felt metal as ****.
