It would appear all of my tactical votes have been successful, as Def Lepppard now have twice as many past votes as Motley Crue. Where's an evil genius emoticon when you need one?

No, Motley are the definition of glam. They had the look and the sound before almost anyone else. Def Leppard aren't even glam. I just didn't have anywhere else to stick them. Same with Van Halen.

Def Leppard's first album it 70s glam inspired, but they drifted away from this style before they got pigeon-holed with the US glam movement a few albums later along with Van Halen.

Whereas Motley Crue are as said, the definition of US glam metal 100%.
