Well most of the bands that are similar are mathcore bands like Converge that flirt with grind. Most grindcore bands and fans seem to be too elitist to let themselves delve too far into that kind of thing, whereas Fuck the Facts are somewhere in the middle. It shouldn't be a rare kind of sound, but for whatever reason they're unique mostly because they ignore genre boundaries.

I must be listening to the wrong albums because the two I have (Backstabber Etiquette and Die Miserable) just sound like fairly run of the mill grindcore to me. Is there a better album by them I should check out?

Stigmata High Five's the best

Vagina Dancer and Es****a are some quality noise albums, and Discoing the Dead and Mullet Fever are great whacky grind albums

Five. Way. Tie! One more day and I'm calling it. Carpe and Mondo can still get in on this. Need at least two more people for a shot at not having at least a two-way tie.

Seriously, why does Mondo keep getting in on the discussions but never votes anymore?

Well, there was a tie between Melvins and Boris, but previous votes bumped off Melvins. So, next round...

4. Boris - Heavy Rocks
3. High On Fire - Death is This Communion
2. Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops
1. Mastodon - Leviathan

Vote 2 off. Polls end on April 3.

And here are those vids for the next battle.

Proto-Metal Battle Album Youtube Vids

Spoiler for Proto-Metal Battle Youtube Vids:
1. Black Sabbath - Paranoid

2. Deep Purple - Machine Head

3. Budgie - Never Turn Your Back On a Friend

4. Judas Priest - Stained Class

5. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin IV

6. AC/DC - Back In Black

7. Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties

8. Rainbow - Rising

9. Flower Travellin' Band - Satori

10. UFO - Lights Out

Couldn't find a Youtube vid for the album, and Grooveshark was missing the first song (**** that, "Too Hot to Handle" is one of the best '70s rock songs ever recorded), so here's a download link.
