I missed it. Post it again.

Edit: never mind, I see it.

Was pretty alright, but still kinda generic. But it took me a while to realize that Undying were ****ing sweet too, so I may just need to give them a few more listens. I'm still relatively new to metalcore, and it can take time for the second-and-third-tier bands to stop sounding like each other.

Still smashing Prayer For Cleansing like Gallagher in the produce section, but what's good with Between the Buried and Me? Any killer albums? Listened once to Colors so long ago I've forgotten how it is

Wouldn't hesitate to call "Teratisms" the best metalcore track of all time

I didn't dig them so much at first, but now I'm totally on board with Misery Signals. They manage to combine non-poseur metalcore with some off-kilter, melodic guitarwork that adds genuine emotion and beautiful textures to some serious brutality. Multi-layered awesomeness that feels like what post-hardcore-influenced-metalcore could have evolved into had it not all went terribly, horribly wrong.

Never would've expected it but I think the first Unearth album is pretty solid. Not amazing by any means and still pretty deep in the posercore style, but there's some shining moments. I went to check this song out when I saw that it was on a split with Undying in both of their early days.

Yeah, Unearth definitely had some good tunes. I feel like they're what Shadows Fall could have been if Shadows fall weren't completely bland and awful.

Oh, and was listening to As I Lay Dying's An Ocean Between Us album, reliving old memories from when I still listened to those kinds of bands, and **** me but every other song on that album is pure fire. Basically because literally every other song doesn't use cringe-worthy emo vocals. Even those songs aren't bad until the chorus kicks in and ruins them. AILD just have some sick ****ing riffs and brutal breakdowns.

I always mix up As I Lay Dying and All That Remains, but one thing's true for both, kickass debut albums. The ATR one is better though.

There's something about melodic death metal and metalcore influenced by it, the melodeath riffs always seem to come out sounding epic.

As Hope Dies is a good one. Much more melodeath with them though. Pretty much metalcore influenced melodeath rather than the other way around.

Early As I Lay Dying just sounds like above average melocore, and I've only heard the one All That Remains album, the famous one, and it was just duller than dishwater.
