Riff wars!

For those who love those riffs! Judge the two songs only on the quality of the riffs, or how they make you feel. Start off with two classics: which riff do you prefer?
A. Deep Purple --- Smoke on the water

B. Black Sabbath --- Paranoid

Smoke on the Water. Always considered the Paranoid riff pretty overrated. Especially since it's a pretty blatant semi-rip of Zep's Communication Breakdown.

We'll do the usual: once one has been declared winner or is ahead by a large enough margin that it's not likely to be caught, I'll declare that war over and then whoever wants to can post the next two. Or you can call dibs on it now if you want, but only post once this couplet has been sorted otherwise it'll get very confusing.

So, current result is
Paranoid - 1
Smoke - 1

Actually I vote for Purple so

Smoke is just more epic despite the fact that both are pretty clichéd these days.
