It's really ****ing hard to decide which Melvins song is the best song ever made. "The Bit" is certainly on the short list.

And why the **** does anyone talk about Nirvana and Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as far as 90s Seattle bands who can compete for best, heaviest, or most creative as if the Melvins don't make them all sound like amateurs. I know why dudebros do but actual human beings do as well.

Edit: I mean I know this is a dumb thing to bring up but still wtf.

Skin Yard is so underrated, one of the best grunge bands imo:


Soundgarden will always be the best though in my book.



The bass on that song is absolutely mindblowing.

and Gun is the heaviest grunge song in existence:
