Moon the Loon! (I caused a tie here...)

Peart certainly has an accomplished style, but my ears go for Moon's attack that demands your attention.

Keith Moon.

The Who never found a better drummer than Moon, but the Rush stuff with Rustey still rocks, and they still play it.

Can't vote. Both these drummers are legends and equal as far as I'm concerned. I know I'm dodging out on the decision but it's just to tough for me to call.

Late in the game on this one, so I wont' add any comments other than I think Peart was much more diverse than Moon was, but Moon could certainly bang the heck out of his set... as long as Townsend didn't crash into it first.

I'm old school...Neil Peart is the MASTER. A drummer playing with no rhyme or reason is leading to a short inconclusive end. A little of just pounding to make noise goes a long way.

That sounds more like you described Moon, with the whole "playing with no rhyme or reason".

Yea that made no sense at all. You describe drummers like Moon as he mentioned or Mitch Mitchell, not a virtuoso like Neil.

Moon would be more old school verses Peart, unless we're talking progressive.
