They never play KC on classic rock radio what are you talking about?...The only Genesis they play is the phil collins stuff, which is barely prog at all, and they mostly only play Pink Floyd and Rush's least progressive songs, i hope you dont consider Another Brick In A Wall Part 2 prog...When was the last time you heard Echoes on the radio?.... Or 2112 in its entirity?...When do you ever hear Close to the Edge, Thick As A Brick, Suppers Ready or Tarkus on the radio?...Give me a break...Classic rock is simply any form of rock music that was popular during that era, the fact that Journey and Black Sabbath are both considered classic rock proves my point, its a silly silly term,

HOWEVER...Just so you will shut up, i wouldnt mind if we had a sub forum for Prog AND Classic rock, which would save more bandwidth than two seperate forums, and yes as much as i would hate to pair Prog with (vomits) classic rock, im willing to do anything for a prog forum, ANYTHING!

they have played it over on the station here, as they have played echoes and shine on both, which are some of floyds most progressive and longest songs, and every night at midnight they play a whole album in its entirety with no commercials, in which they have played 2112 before. Maybe i just have a really good classic rock station here, i suppose those prog. bands are never played on classic rock stations anywhere else i guess. and another brick in the wall pt. 2 i do consider progressive, because it is part of a 3 part progressive song, which they play all 3 parts of on my station over here. Obviously certain songs by floyd like young lust are much less progressive than others, but nonetheless they are still a progressive band. Maybe i am the only one that sees classic rock seperate from all rock and metal, but i think there would be a lot less arguing between people like me and bunglalow bill and alexisonfire, who apparently despise classic rock i guess. How can your name be bungalowbill if you think classic rock is overrated:crazy:

Exactly. Prog should have its own forum as it is a recognised genre, and I'm sure there must be lots of prog fans on this site.

I agree that classic rock should have it's own sub-forum within rock and metal too though. I think both are great genres.

Just shut up and settle on this, if classic rock does get a forum, it should share it with prog, the same way rock shares a forum with metal...Would that apease you?... No?

Yeah, maybe not a genre but it does definitely sound different to rock music today, so it can be grouped separately.
Anyway, I think the idea of a combined prog/classic forum is good.

I think you should get the other forums up to a respectable standard before think about more forums.
