no. mostly because you demanded it of me kashmir. it sure seems there's this prevailing attitude that if you don't hold anything and everything zeppelin at the pinnacle, you'll be attacked as not having an opinion worth discussing. well you can attack away because while i'm a led zeppelin fan, or was, i clearly don't hold them in as high a regard as most here in this forum.

there's other opinions here that don't agree with yours, just as it's clear many of you don't agree with mine. that's ok. i think it's a gas to debate these things. but instead of shouting them into submission, maybe you could listen and offer your own differing views.

i wasnt saying that to you man, I was talking to bungalow bill. At least you, unlike him, can put a reasonable argument out there to back up your opinion. When it comes down to it, I guess in a way it is just personal preference for the sound of the player that makes page win in my opinion. I like the tones of his guitars better, I like the acoustic sound, the slide tracks, dual neck, etc. Not to take anything away from hendrix, but he was more raw, straight up bluesy rock in my opinion, whereas page varied more and put out some real masterpieces, like stairway, achilles, rain song, etc. The only song I consider a masterpiece by hendrix is machine gun. I respect you and your opinions though, not bungalow bills however.

I still think his early death has much to do with his gratification

But then look at the bassist from the who (can't remember his name) see, he died, and he isn't idolized like Hendrix

I should've been more percise.
For the most part death makes people overated.
Sometimes they pass away unnoticed.
For instance Joey Ramone is an amazing vocalist...yet no one cares.
