I'd also say that Townshend has done a lot of notable guitar work in studio, notably on Quadrophena.
I prefer Daltrey and Keith Moon. Townshend is good, but like I said doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Entwhistle flatters to deceive. He looks as if he's doing nothing because he's so damn proficient at playing bass. Put somebody in his place and you'd soon notice the difference.

He's very much like Malcolm Young In AC/DC, Angus gets all the praise but they be nothing without Malcolm's rhythm playing in the background.

True that, though I still prefer Angus as a guitarist. Phils simple drumming and Malcolms great riffs are the big part of the AC/DC sound, but Angus's wild, virbato crazy solos were the finishing touch.

My favourite track is 5.15 from the QUADROPHENIA soundtrack, but dare I say it?...not a big favourite band of mine.

Well..WHO ARE YOU is classed as one of the finest British rock albums-I just don't get it. I adore Daltreys soundtrack tot the film MCVICAR however.
