Alrite yeah well as you can see I have just revealed that i was exaggerating a bit when I said they are amongst the 2 worst of all time, although I could live with it to be honest.
Well I respect your opinion but if it conflicts with mines then I cant help but argue lol I havent seen any of your playlists but Im sure you like decent music as well.
I usually tend to avoid talking to people about music that i dont like but kinda got sucked in here i think.
Also good u understand opinion issue..
cheers

But lets see, you consider The Beatles and Stones the two worst bands of all time, and I assume you don't give them credit for anything, yet a huge margin of what you listen to is influenced by them. Gee, dissing The Beates and Nirvana? NOBODY ever does that, yeah you're a real rebel, don't let the media control you man.

These parts made me chuckle.
I dont get your comment about grammar teacher. When I was in English I never heard anything about music let alone anything about The Beatles or their lyrics. So you suspect that I either cant read/write/understand music because I simply do not like your two godlike geniuses. They are only two bands out of all the bands that have ever been, day after day i find great band s with great lyrics and excellent music who have been overlooked.
So please dont resort to talking rubbish. As for Nirvana I like two tracks 'About A Girl' & 'Something In The Way' but they are no where near(IMO) the best grunge band, they were simply the most commercially successful/most popular/most hyped/most talked about. Doesnt necessarily make them the best by any means. People seem to live their lives by the media and album sales instead of forming their own opinions on what they like and making their own minds up.
For instance I had never heard of The Beatles/didnt know of their legacy at around age 12 or 13 or so and my uncle gave me a tape (think it was Sgt Pepper) and I listened to it and thought it was dreadful and still do.

Neil Young, Bob Dylan,Bruce Springsteen,James Taylor,Paul Weller,Robert Plant, Led Zeppelin,love all the grunge stuff apart from Nirvana(as they suck), Alice In Chains,Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, Mad Season,Soundgarden,Chris Cornell,The Gun Club, Massive Attack,808 State, Orbital,Inner City, Death In Vegas,Suede,Pulp,Ocean Colour Scene,Ride,The Stone Roses, Ian Brown, Joh Squire,Kasabian,R.E.M., Last Shadow Puppets, Happy Mondays, Black Grape,Inspiral Carpets,Charlatans, The Smiths, Johnny Marr, Morrissey, Modest Mouse,Manic Street Preachers, The La's, Cast (prob my favourite indie band of the 1990s),The Coral,Kings Of Leon(pre-recent sell out era),The Verve,Frank Zappa,Jesus & Mary Chain, Primal Scream,Kula Shaker,Sonic Youth,Shed Seven,The Bluetones, Nick Cave,Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music,Supergrass, Muse,The Thrills,ZZ Top, RedHotChiliPeppers(early stuff is the best),Neil Finn,Rush,John Martyn,Ramones,Iron Maiden,Metallica,Slayer,Korn,Black Sabbath(best when they had Dio),Sepultura,Widespread Panic,Screaming Trees,Deftones,Fairport Convention,Small Faces,Tom Petty,Electric light Orchestra,Style Council, U2(early stuff is undeniably good but I still hate them),The White Stripes, Beastie Boys,The Clash, Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros,Anthrax,Faith No More,Queens Of The Stone Age,David Lee Roth,Van Halen,Deep Purple,Whitesnake,David Coverdale,Ian Dury,Madness,Specials,Ryan Adams,Foo Fighters,Motorhead,The Who,Van Morrisson,Dr John,George Clinton,John Lee Hooker,Gary Moore,BB King,Thelonious Monk,Miles Davis,John Coltrane,Stan Getz,Pat Metheny.... obviously I havent heard much music then?

The Rolling Stones get on my tits;but i can handle them. The Beatles i cannot, not one song they have written has moved me or even bothered me. They are both overrated. I like John Lennons stuff but he is long-gone & Paul McCartney sucks big time. Enough said.
Unfortunatly having good musical taste or not does not equate to the amount of albums you do or do not own.

Thats true. But it ensures that you have alot of music you enjoy, and that's all that really matters in the end.

I think youve been reading things... I did not state that I had 'good' musical taste anywhere. I said that I only listen to music that I like and am not influenced by anybody elses opinions/tastes etc. Also I did not state anywhere that the amount of albums I own indicates whether I have good taste or not. Thats for you to decide. Any quite frankly I couldnt give a flying ****.
The reason i posted that list of artists off the top of my head that I am into was in response to 'you havent heard much music then have you?'
So the point of your post is totally unsourced.
Are you now going to tell me that just because I have broken the Code of Listening and do not like i repeat DO NOT LIKE the two supposedly 'greatest' bands of all time then I consequently do not have good taste in music. I dont say I have good taste but what I do have is a wide taste in music. Obviously if your musical interests do not extend beyond the worship of The Beatles & The Rolling Stones then its clearly evident who is talking rubbish.

Also further this is a false claim, I did not state anywhere that having an amount of albums made me have a good taste. I am happy with the music I listen to thats all that matters for me. So next time try to think before you type.
