they're incredibly invested, that's the weird thing. they play instruments, they're always listening to music, they listen to plenty of decent stuff. they just don't... get it? i guess. if music isn't something you're obsessed with like obviously all the members are here, that's totally reasonable and understandable and i would never confront a person for just casually liking music. what's weird to me is people who claim they "live for music" and have these ****ty opinions.

Do they live for rock music or other non-rap genres? That would explain it.

I'd honestly just rather not talk about music. Either they're completely ignorant and not worth talking with about music or they're vaguely knowledgeable but still full of **** because they think they're miles better than those truly ignorant people. Either way they're just going to bore the **** out of me. And no matter what they're not going to have the balls to actually have a real opinion that isn't supported by some supposed authority.

yeah basically eminem is a very entertaining lyricist. but his post-relapse music is all the proof you need that when he isn't being an over-the-top maniac, he's just a boring honkey. tight flow though, no doubting that.

but when you call him an all-time great lyricist despite me showing you Aesop Rock, Jay Electron, Andre 3k, GZA, Del, etc. then you're just being dumb.

And I like to make them all feel bad about themselves.

Honestly I think we're all snobs not so much for being snobs as we are for having our eyes opened by all the snobs here that musical taste is entirely subjective and that it's simply okay to like absolutely anything for absolutely any reason. It makes us anti-snobs but it also puts us at odds with all those snobs who've never been made aware of this honestly simple fact. So we're some kind of elevated snobs by not being snobs. I guess.

eh. some different stuff but nothing mind-blowing. a lot of rock, mostly indie rock, a fair bit of hip-hop but the type of stuff you would expect (Tyler, the Creator, Ice Cube, Em, Danny Brown, Death Grips, base level needledropcore etc.)

they're like just on the boarder of being far enough that I can actually get them into some good ****.

Well did you pull the race card yet? Maybe if they were more woke they'd listen to better music.

You could never make me feel humble cause I have no self-respect when it comes to music. I am the lone wolf music listener. The anti-hipster. The curator of obscure music. The critic of most loved bands. The fan of the most hated bands. The more people hate on Led Zeppelin the better they sound to me.

actually one of them (the one arguing for LZ being the best of all-time) told me if the members of Led Zeppelin were black I would admit they were the best.

in retrospect their music would definitely be better if they weren't a bunch of old boring crackers
