I'm gonna try and elaborate just for the hell of it, and in doing so I might go way off the mark, but whatever. To me, the speaker could possibly be talking to an ex-girlfriend, with whom he'd perviously had a very serious relationship. Although they're not romantically involved anymore, he's still tied down to her by what he feels, and a feeling of obligation to make sure she's ok. It seems like the person he's speaking to is extremely self destructive, dependant upon him, and is basically ruining her own life what's more, she is exagerating her situation, and lying to him in order to manipulate him into feeling sorry for her. Basically she's just an extremely passive agressive person, she could be lying to him about situations she's been getting into, or perhaps lying to him about what she felt while they were in the relationship. Either or, he's decided he wont put up with this anymore, and although he's resolved to cut himself off from her, he won't deny that all her lies and passive agressive behavior has affected him.

she could be telling him that she'll kill herself in order to manipulate him into coming back to her, and he's decided to not give in, thinking that she's probably just bluffing, but scared to death in case she's actually serious.

Not like it's supposed to be obvious or anything (it's not) but our girl is a suicide-wannabe. The basic idea behind the song is that we shouldn't "bleed" for those who cry for attention. Yes, the song is vague. No you should not have picked up on that instantly but thank you for playing all the same. I'd say we have two winners now.


I sent Merk a PM already but I'll repeat here: If you want a CD mailed to you overseas from the U.S. you will need to send me sufficient funds through paypal (not to this email). Or I can just email mp3's. It will be about 1-2 months before I can send anything though as we are doing the final mixing now before getting it mastered.
