Dude i'm in a band to, and since you do everything but the singing write the lyrics with the melody in the back of your mind and try to fit the lyrics with whatever melody you feel. I'm the singer/songwriter as well and tha's what I do.

Unfortunately, we are the kind of band whose ultimate goal is to sell the music for the masses. When I want to make a good song I write poetry and when I want to write a good story I write Epic Fantasy. I just try to make good music and catchy melodies. Lyrics need to have a meaning but are secondary to our music. I think that song alone should tell a story for itself.

Figures another band trying to be popular what happened to good old garage and jam bands who just play shows and write meaningful lyrics to get discovered. Instead we have people writing about fantasy and no meaning to it, that my friend will not sell in the united states but maybe in europe it'll sell I dunno.

Believe it or not, USA is more interested in us than Europe. I thought that it will be the other way round because USA is the kingdom of Hip Hop. The music I make sounds like Evanescence with much more gothic elements. Never write songs without meaning, I only try harder with some songs than I do wit the others. I wrote this song in 15 minutes. In my head I had the story, I just made it into a song that now noboty understands!

Then why are there so many hip hop stars in USA? No other country makes that many of them!
I originaly started making music for my needs only. I made instrumentals that were supposed to have all I like to hear in a song combined in one place. Then I met my singer an started writing lyrics. Many people reacted positively to it so I kept doing it.

Well why isn't the singer doing the songwriting? all she's doing is singing and your brakeing your back to do everything else now that's not a band. As for hip hop I'm from the USA and I despise hip hop with a passion and the USA doesn't produce the most hip hop artists latin america does, I hear about it in school. But as for me hip hop is a disgrace.

She would be a good songwriter in Serbian, but in English? I don't think so. My lyrics will have to do.
I have heard about loads of hip hop and R'nB artists from USA, but never about those from latin america.
