Default Things That I Wrote

I don't write alot, but per the rules, I started a thread dedicated to the times that I do. Here's something that I wrote. It's part of a song (well, just a chorus/verse/chorus so far). I'll be adding more in the future as it comes to me, or not, but most likely.

Quote:
Why is it me, and why's it okay?
I put it to the test, but I can't do it every day.
I love it in hindsight, but hate it today.
I had you in my heart, but now my heart has gone away.

I miss your face, the soft of your touch. I’m flippin’ through your pictures, but sometimes pictures ain't enough. I told you that I loved you. I held your hand and kissed your lips. Ran my fingers through your hair, put my hands upon your hips.

You had my heart. I gave it to you every chance. I still remember the look in your eyes the first time we ever danced. I felt your soul, your head upon my chest. Those were the good times, and these are just the rest.

Why is it me, and why’s it okay?
I put it to the test, but I can’t do it every day.
I love it in hindsight, but hate it today.
I had you in my heart, but now my heart is gone away.

I like it, the only thing I don't like is the use of 'upon,' feels a little weird. But otherwise I really like it. Flows well.

Hooray for the creative expression that is ushered in by divorce and heartbreak.

oojay, Take full advantage and turn something negative into something positive. I did some of my best writing after my divorce. I also had a very creative period when I finally started opening myself up to possible new romance. Damn, I was writing as much as I did during my teen years! It was a very cool period.

I just wanna offer a little bit of insight into my mind’s eye. Into the reasons that I get so high that I wanna die. The reasons that my f*ckin’ brain is fried, and why my eyes are cried out to the point where my soul has dried out and died out. You see, I tried to buy love. That is, I gave a girl all my love. Leavin’ myself with no love, and no love lost. The biggest cost was my heart, when my heart crossed, and got hit by a f*ckin’ bus. How’s that for a life that’s f*ckin’ just?
