I often look for video lessons on YouTube because I feel so stuck sometimes. I know you've been playing for a long time, but did you ever feel like that? Or Did you just experiment and practice relentlessly and figure everything out on your own?

lol

Actually, it's a good disciplined approach. He DID use his trem, doubledpicked a note that was supposed to one, and planked a string at one point though. He shoulda just let that kid fly... but that would have killed the lesson.

I know, I'm nit picking. lol For me, it's all about experimentation, and I've done the One Note thing, as well as the Two Note thing, just out of necessity. Have one guitar next to me, and pluck out a G, and play the one in my lap. For hours.

What exactly do you mean about the last part?

I didn't have the luxury of the internet, so I had to do exactly what you mention. Really. I learned Ride The Lightning forwards and backwards at around 3-4 years of playing, but believe me if I had millions of sources for learning, I would have tried to use every single one of them.

Just what it implies. 2 guitars. One next to you on a stand, and one in your lap. Play both at the same time.

Here's one I wrote for my daughter:

I know the tune starts out sounding like that Six Pence song but hey, they stole my riff.

I really think that some of you will like this or at least appreciate it. These are all things that I recorded on my computer and played on my turntable. It sounds freaking crazy and industrial too. Enjoy: https://soundcloud.com/frownland/on-...from-the-loony

I appreciate it. Really have to be in the right frame of mind. Very "Out There".

Here's one I was on the fence about, but as time goes by this one's really growing on me for some reason. Our very own Po did the artwork and has allowed me to use it in the backdrop for the vid.

I thought this was great! Loved the textures and felt like this was something I'd love to listen to super loud in an empty house. I think my favorite part was toward the end (about the 7:00 mark) that sounds like backwards chimes or something. Very nice!

:P Thanks for considering my art Plankton! :P

This is a song from the Band I am in. I sing with the band, play keys and piano and guitar.

I didn't even realize you made music, let alone music that was so beautiful. I loved the mood of that!
