It's funny because some of the best lyrics that I "write" are freestyles. I feel way more comfortable singing when I'm playing guitar than singing solo so I write a lot of my tunes that way. I'll just hit record and let the thoughts flow. Then I'll go back and listen to what I did and take what I like from it and record it properly.

My biggest problem is writing lyrics and then getting them to blend with the song I'm writing. I do it, but it usually takes a little while for me to get it where I want it. For some reason the words come more naturally to me when I just let loose and jam.

On that particular song I did the bongos, shaker and guitar as well as sang the first 3 verses

and thanks a bunch francis!

As for the band I write a lot of our music; the main rhythms and arrangements, sing and play guitar, drums/percussion and piano; so I do a little bit of everything. My brothers also sing and play guitar and help in the writing process too.

Shadows originally started out as just me but through the years Ive collabed with people and now have my 2 older brothers apart of the group.
