Dam right.

Going with the mellow end of the spectrum, I like . . .

Supernatural Thing - Ben E King

Just My Imagination - The Temptations

Prisoner Of Love - James Brown

as a drummer, I have to admit. This song (above) was a challenge. There is no easy groove to cop and then find the scattered dynamics. The whole song changes throughtout. The dynamics change. The groove is semi-consistent but changes.

Whoever (?) wrote this as an original and then put it down for others to learn and play is BEYOND a genius. Just learning it is hard. Whoever conceived this in its entirety is amazing.

If Curtis Mayfield conceived of this, many many blessings to that man and his offspring

The introduction of the amazing live recording of Jimmy Smith Root Down and Get It is incredible. And in fact it is known as a jazz musician with the funky music.

Heaven in Your Arms

a candle flickers...
...which glows in the dark
I'm still thinking of...
...the Love We shared
Your Hand reaches...
...for me in the night
hold me closer...
...I need Your Touch
Heaven in Your Arms...
