How about: Spectrum by Billy Cobham... specifically the tune, but the whole record is full of some of the best funk jazz I know. Grant Green is also a master. Finally, Thrust by Herbie Han**** is one of my favorite records of all time.

Jimmy McGriff- the Funkiest of the B3 players
Lou Donaldson
Charles Kynard - Lesser know B3 player
Charles Earland - another great organist..
Horace Silver

seems to me the Hammond sound fits perfectly in the funk genre..actually it fits perfectly in a lot of genres
