Lebron's a choker.

captaincaptain 06-10-2011 07:44 PM

If you ask LeBron James to break a dollar, he'll only give you 75 cents. Why? Because he never has the fourth quarter.

I saw someone post this early on Facebook, not sure who originated it. Probably a Cleveland fan.

Sljslj 06-11-2011 06:09 PM

Who's ready to watch Dallas take home the trophy tomorrow? I'm so excited.

I am. When my personal favorite teams are not involved in a championship I like to root for the aging veteran that has yet to win one. This year that goes to Jason Kidd. Hopefully if they win Mark Cuban can shut up, though he's been doing pretty good this post season.

Bloozcrooz 06-11-2011 06:19 PM

Lol....Mavs go down 2-1 in the series and not a word is spoken from the fans. They go up 3-2 and come out of the wood works to gloat and jump to conclusions.

captaincaptain 06-11-2011 06:26 PM

It's better than the "fans" that have been on the Miami band wagon since "The Decision".

Dont misconstrue my remarks as I am a fan of neither just making an observation. Where do they go when their team is down?

Im a Lakers fan btw....well Kobe fan not so much the Lakers.

I wasn't, I just find it funny Miami has gained so many fans this season for no apparent reason.

debaserr 06-11-2011 06:39 PM

People like superstars.

Bloozcrooz 06-11-2011 06:41 PM

I dont know, it seems the majority of America hate The Heat from what I gather.

debaserr 06-11-2011 06:46 PM

Hate is an awfully strong word. Personally, I have a slight distaste for them, but that won't keep me from watching them.

captaincaptain 06-11-2011 06:49 PM

Any hate that is for Lebron and the Heat is the feeling that the city of Cleveland was slighted by him leaving. I wouldn't have cared, if he left my team. It's the way that he left that will always be remembered as a very self centered move.

debaserr 06-11-2011 09:42 PM

The Red Hot NBA May Be Going Away - Grantland

The last section is great.

i agree. he "added insult to injury". i know some will debate that it was probably not his idea to do a one-hour show just to announce his decision. but at the end of the day, he had the last say. i highly doubt that a thing like this in mandated by the NBA contract.

i also think it's where he went. he went to an already great team. Wade already has a ring. i remember that when Kobe was battling to the be released from his contract, he wanted to go to the Clippers. not an all-star team and I don't even like Kobe.

that being said though, I like LeBron. I honestly think he has a bigger potential than Kobe had when Kobe was beginning. I just think that no matter what he does now or how hard he works for Heat, there will always be a question in everyone's mind. always. for a great player like him, that's sad.

Dwyane Wade's "Eff You" 3:7 We're one Dallas win away from that becoming an iconic "don't count your chickens before they hatch" sports moment. You can't do that crap unless you know, with absolute certainty, that the series is over. For instance, Larry Legend iced the '86 Rockets in Game 6 by grabbing a loose ball with the shot clock winding down, dribbling through three people just so he could plant himself in front of Houston's bench, then draining a 3 with his ass in their faces. Game over. That's when you do it. Wade jumped the gun. If they lose, he will never live it down.
what was he talking about here? just really curious because i don't know. i'd appreciate if someone can shed light. thanks.

chipper 06-12-2011 07:07 AM

oh i found it i found it... thanks anyway.

The Miami Welcome Party: We're one Dallas victory away from it becoming permanently funny.
He's right about that one.

I just saw the welcoming party again and I didn't even know they had a band come on before them. That party was more rocking than the Lakers championship celebration last year.

"Arguably, the best trio to ever play basketball" He didn't say "could be", he didn't say "one day".

Better than Magic, Kareem, Worthy?
Better than Bird, McHale, Parrish?
Better than Jordan, Pippen, Rodman?
Better than Russell, Cousy, Heinsohn?

I don't think so.

chipper 06-12-2011 08:46 PM

and there you go... Dallas

Sljslj 06-12-2011 08:54 PM

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm so excited I'm almost crying tears of joy!

Bloozcrooz 06-12-2011 09:09 PM

Enjoy it cause itll be the Lakers next year

CHCl3 06-12-2011 10:33 PM

Congrats to Dirk.

Maybe it's just me, but am I the only one that has seen this series as something that would appear in a movie?

The old and classy veterans (Dallas) fighting off the snotty ******* superstars who think their **** doesn't stink (Miami).

debaserr 06-12-2011 11:00 PM

Hooray! Maybe LBJ will actually try to improve his game this summer. Also, did you notice how in the big moments he was just doing touch passes all around? The only person willing to take shots in crunch time was Wade. Shit was too real for the small 2.

Bloozcrooz 06-12-2011 11:16 PM

Lol congats to the Mavs are definately in order for getting their first championship in the history of their franchise, and good to see Dirk get a ring.
Make no mistake though classless super stars will inevitably get their rings whether you hate them or not. look at my boy Kobe and the Lakers

isn't it the first ring for Jason Kidd also? that guy has been chasing a ring for forever hopping team to team lol

ThePhanastasio 06-12-2011 11:35 PM

I just want it to be known that I love Dirk Nowitzki beyond most anything. I've liked him since his rookie season, and have been pulling for the man for years and years. So excited.

crash_override 06-12-2011 11:44 PM

Wow, just ****ing wow.

I can't believe Dallas pulled it off. They did what they were supposed to do, hand around until the end and make a run. The Heat need to work on closing out games, badly.

If you ask Lebron to give you some quarters for a dollar , he will give you three quarters back.

why because he NEVER has a fourth quarter!

Bloozcrooz 06-12-2011 11:47 PM

Now we can move on to football starting back up.............oh wait nevermind.
Dj someone already said that bro

Needs to be restated to lebron definately just when I was begining to think he had what it takes. I was even starting to spell his name with capitals but hes back down to lower case and the scrutiny will continue probally twice as hard now from fans and media.

Still even as good as Dirk played it wasnt even comparable to Jordan imo..it seems as though we will never be blessed with watching greatness at the level he played at when it really counts.

This can now be moved to the funny Youtube video thread.

Thom Yorke 06-13-2011 08:43 AM

Well, I have to say I'm shocked.

CHCl3 06-13-2011 09:54 AM

Just take a look at the free throw differential in this game.

Miami: 20-33
Dallas: 12-18

If Miami would have hit their free throws there would be a Game 7 right now.

debaserr 06-13-2011 10:32 AM

I'm not sure how you can limit both LBJ and Wade when one of the defenders is a 38 year old(Kidd).

___ 06-13-2011 11:11 AM

BOOM! Congratulations MAVS. It was a great season to watch.

And I think its clear that no one can surpass Jordan's talent. So moving on.

debaserr 06-13-2011 11:31 AM

Never say never.

FRED HALE SR. 06-13-2011 12:03 PM

After the final whistle, I cringed because i realized Mark Cuban has a ring. Congrats to Nowitzki and Kid, two very deserving athletes. Not the best finals i've seen in recent years but entertaining in the end. I hope D-wade knows the heimlich Lebron.

I so want these two teams to meet again in the finals next year. You can clearly tell that these two teams really hate each other.

Note: The guy in the second pic is Deshawn Stevenson.
