Really? Since you put it like that it makes sense. Hadnt though about it like that..hmm.

Sparky 11-07-2012 09:45 PM

timberwolves had 5 guys in double digits, man this is a sick squad.

LA still not finding ways to win.

Bloozcrooz 11-09-2012 12:32 PM

Man The Lakers dont mess around, Mike Brown was fired after they're 1-4 start to this season today. Rumors are circling about bringing back Phil Jackson already but I doubt that has a chance of happening. As much as I hate to see the Lakers get off to this sluggish of a start. I think it does however void the theory of money instantly buys championships. You can have all the talent in the world but if the coaching isn't what it should be, you can close the door on winning a championship. For years I've heard how Phil shoud not be regaurded as one of the leagues all time best coaches because of the amount of talent he always had to work with. Well I think this years Lakers are a testiment of how little talent can mean without the right coach.

debaserr 11-09-2012 12:35 PM

I really hope they have a backup plan (I would think they had a successor chosen already).

That Jazz game was a disgrace, worst defensive intensity, that probably cinched it.

The fact that Mike Brown was supposedly a defensive guru was perplexing. This is the worst looking Lakers D in history. I know Pau and Blake/Nash are gonna be filler, but Kobe/Howard/Artest should have made them average at least.

debaserr 11-09-2012 12:41 PM

Pau actually plays good D on conventional bigs, he just can't keep up with hybrid / speed guys a la Blake Griffin (few bigs can).

I don't buy the people that call out Jackson for the talent he was surrounded with. I mean he had Pippen and Jordan and a serviceable Horace Grant. They had Will Perdue at Center and Paxson as a point. That isn't exactly a mind blowing squad. Sure they upped the ante with the Worm later, but those Bulls teams were not World stoppers, Jordan and Pippen were just that good and so was Jackson.

Yeah the speed of the game has certainly evolved to the point where traditional bigs can't keep up at points. Pau was never really able to handle the power houses either.

Sparky 11-09-2012 03:18 PM

wow i didn't know they fired dude already. This laker's team could really implode.

Two calls and they can still make the parade route. Got Phil and Tex? :dj:

Sparky 11-09-2012 03:23 PM

Dude tex winters is like 100 years old. People say Phil is gonna come back every year. Not saying either is totally out of the realm of possibility, but iunno man.

Laker's chance of going to the finals is getting smaller and smaller.

Last time I checked there are 77 games left. GO LAKESHOW.

debaserr 11-09-2012 06:39 PM

Phil was scheduled to speak at a convention next week and has canceled it last minute. PLEASE come back baby.

katsy 11-09-2012 08:57 PM

Well, adios Mike Brown.

blastingas10 11-10-2012 02:28 AM

Wow. Seriosuly, fire your coach after five games?? If it had anything to do with last season then they already would have fired him. It's just so ridiculous. Kobe was bitching, or something.

Sparky 11-10-2012 01:47 PM

No coach is going to be able to account for some old ass starters who can't play too much or risk not having them in the playoffs, and a non-existent bench.

Lakers have a dysfuctional team and if they continue losing games then their chances of going the NBA finals will get smaller and smaller.

debaserr 11-10-2012 06:09 PM

They are gonna be just fine. Stop being so reactionary.

Sparky 11-13-2012 12:11 AM

wolves keep winning even with 5/6 starters injured now.

Is the coaching staff over-training them? This is nerve wracking, too many injuries in a short time. Last 4 games have had injuries consecutively.

Mike D'antoni seems good for LA.

You have some of the best analyisis and breakdowns that I've ever seen.

blastingas10 11-13-2012 06:25 PM

If the lakers can't score more points than the other team, theyre gonna lose.

debaserr 11-19-2012 05:36 PM

Hey guys, lets count on Brandon Roy!!!

Sparky 11-19-2012 05:43 PM

Who cares alexey scvhed is a baller and who else is there to get?

We'll be fine, none of our wins were in any way because of brandon roy. 3 weeks until love and/or rubio is back

Knees like swiss cheese. I thought Rubio was due back in two weeks.

Still agree with most of what i said. Even with 2 blown knees he's better than wes johnson

debaserr 11-19-2012 07:09 PM

My fantasy teams look decent after some waiver management and trading:

i can see the clippers winning their division....i wouldnt have said that before the season started since i didnt expect deandre jordan to have improved that much , but it looks he really has taken his game to another level...he actually has low post moves now.

Sparky 11-24-2012 12:41 PM

why the **** are the t-wolves doing worse with k-love back.

debaserr 11-27-2012 02:45 PM

Thought this was pretty cool, a look back at PTI discussing LBJ.

dhoward541524 12-03-2012 10:39 AM

Magic beat the lakers. I'm a happy camper

Sparky 12-11-2012 11:17 AM

hoping these next few weeks without gasol and nash turns into a free fall that la never recovers from :D

timberwolves have managed to stay afloat because we are a team of leaders

We'll see about that. The Lakers have a weak schedule coming up, as bad as they've been.

Bloozcrooz 12-11-2012 11:25 AM

I'm not even gonna watch the Lakers anymore till footballs completely over with.

Sparky 12-11-2012 11:27 AM

I hear ya Fred, they have just really disappointed me so I'm just playing it by. Ear till footballs done. Can't afford the energy spent being a cowboys fan as well.
