it might turn into-labron vs,curry which would be high scoring.

YorkeDaddy 05-25-2015 04:52 PM

so if you've ever wondered what 37 points, 13 assists, 18 rebounds, and 3 steals (a stat line that has now only ever happened once) looks like, here you go:

Thoughts on Tom Thibodeau being fired?

How bad is the Bulls front office?

FaSho 06-05-2015 08:50 AM

Wow how about that Game 1? Looks like GS is going for the approach Detroit took after the Jordan rules failed and saying "okay Lebron can score...but no one else can"

derek 06-12-2015 11:26 PM

Go Cavs!!!!

Wpnfire 06-14-2015 04:29 PM

It will be interesting to see how Delly and James play coming off a two-day break. If the warriors are going to show up like they did the last game, it still may not matter.

Also, Metallica is performing the national anthem. That may be more entertaining than the game.

Chula Vista 06-15-2015 12:39 PM

That game last night was ridiculous. LeBron played like superman but every time he tried to make a statement Curry answered. Not sure I've ever seen a better example of downtown shooting. The dude was hitting from everywhere.

YorkeDaddy 06-15-2015 12:45 PM

Kind of pissed off that LeBron's playing like that but still probably gonna lose because Kyrie has the durability of a wet napkin and Love got systematically removed from the playoffs by Olynyk. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It ain't over yet but I get what you're saying. He's making a pretty big statement for the "best overall player ever" title though. Dude is carrying his team on his back.

Wpnfire 06-15-2015 03:06 PM

Cavs should foul Igodala every time he enters the game. A wing player missing 9 consecutive free throws is unspeakbly, shockingly, BAD.

Hope he's been sitting with a shrink since the final whistle last night. He's normally a 70+% FTS.

Going to the Nuggets draft party at the Pepsi center tomorrow night. Can't wait to see who they pick that will help them get to the point of rebuilding in 4 years.

debaserr 06-24-2015 11:10 AM

Haven't the Nugs been rebuilding since they lost Carmelo? That was 2011.

Yeah, they never stop rebuilding. Most likely Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried will be gone, the coach will be around for 3-4 years, just long enough for the players to start hatibg him. Dont think i will see a Nugs championship in my lifetime.

debaserr 06-25-2015 11:09 AM

I think I've heard a few times about how your GM has been making solid deals though. So maybe things are trending in a good a way?

Wpnfire 07-04-2015 07:45 PM

Oh no. Here come the Spurs again.

Pocketx 08-09-2015 08:12 AM

Cavs are the best, no lie

It's that time of the year again.

I'm from San Antonio, so I have always been a Spurs fan. Funny how little attention they get until playoff season. We have every reason to win it this year, but Golden State is looking hella scary this year.

Stephen curry.. What a guy eh?

Paul Smeenus 03-04-2016 08:09 PM

Make no mistake about it, the NBA is my least favorite of the 4 major US sports leagues. And the fact that while the NFL has 16 champions since 1980, the NHL 17, and MLB 19 compared to 10 for the NBA says everything. Let's face it, there's virtually zero chance that anyone outside the top few seeds will compete for the title again this year.

And that includes my Trail Blazers, but I am impressed with the way they've turned this season around. Lillard is a beast.

Last year's playoffs showed a potential for that to change, although the outcome was still predictable.

YorkeDaddy 03-07-2016 01:18 PM

Damn a sport where the best team actually wins more often than not what a terrible thing

Wpnfire 03-08-2016 09:33 PM

We all knew it was going to be the Knicks and the Warriors meeting in finals last year, untill Melo got hurt.

debaserr 03-09-2016 04:36 PM

When I think Melo, I think winning. Kappa

Wpnfire 03-16-2016 09:35 AM

Only three days left until the Spurs and the Warriors play each other again.

Wpnfire 03-19-2016 10:35 AM

Considering that tournament games later in the day are usually delayed, these will probably start at the same time.

You'd think that the NBA would have the Spurs and Warriors play each other on a day when people have no excuse to not watch them.

Tony Parker put the clamps on Stephen Curry tonight. Of all the defenders in the league, 33 year old Parker is the one to give Steph trouble? Did anybody see this coming? Curry was 0-7 when Parker was on him.

Paul Smeenus 04-27-2016 05:35 PM

My Trail Blazers are the beneficiaries of total buzzards luck by the Clippers, losing Griffin and esp. CP3??? At the same time??? To borrow a cliche, injuries are part of the game, if Lillard and McCollum were lost no one would shed any tears for Portland, rightly so. With CP3 and Griffin it was looking like a 6 or 7 game series for the Clippers, without them it's advantage Blazers.

Then, they would face the Curry-less Warriors. I think Portland will still take a 2nd round exit, but their chances increase exponentially. If somehow they get past the Warriors, San Antonio or OKC will make quick work. Still, the young Trail Blazers have a hella bright future.

debaserr 05-14-2016 10:12 AM

Earlier this week, LeBron James said Curry "definitely deserved" to be the MVP, but he seemingly took a backhanded shot at what the award means.

"But when you talk about most 'valuable' then you can have a different conversation, so, take nothing away from him, he’s definitely deserving of that award, for sure," James said.

Steph Curry is doing things LeBron wishes he could do. Curry's season this year was nothing short of magical.

LeBron has lost his 3pt touch (under 30% 3pt shooting I think) and some of his ego which was tied up in being "the best player in the world". LeBron is being a sore little loser. He says "take nothing away from him" but he is trying his damndest to do EXACTLY that. CmonBruh

I really really really hope the Warriors sweep the Cavs in the Finals, maybe that will shut him up.

Stephen curry had one of the best seasons ever. 30 points per game while playing less than 36 minutes, led the league in scoring whilst simultaneously leading the league in steals, made 400 threes before anyone else ever crossed 300, shot 50% from the field, posted one of the highest efficiency ratings of all time, and nearly led the league in points in the paint.

Lebron is acting like a fool to say he's not the best player alive right now. I'd choose draymond green over lebron with green's stratospheric plus/minus.

YorkeDaddy 05-19-2016 06:56 AM

You'd choose Draymond Green over LeBron? LMAO R.I.P. CREDIBILITY

Alright, maybe I was exaggerating a little bit, as Green is lightyears away from the offensive game that LeBron has, but he did receive some MVP votes so it's not as ridiculous as you might think. He can go toe-to-toe with LeBron in every other statistical category. He put up more assists than Lebron, has a better assist/turnover ratio, shot 38% from three, and had the same field goal efficiency rating as James. He can also run the fastbreak, and nearly won defensive player two years in row. He can guard wing players and Marc Gasol with the same success.

His versatility is on par with James. There was a game last year where he put up "5" or more in every statistical category.

YorkeDaddy 05-19-2016 10:05 AM

No one's saying he's not a great player, but his stats would look quite a lot worse if he didn't have the supporting cast he does. LeBron has been putting up the numbers he has his entire career regardless of who's around him. Draymond makes any team in the NBA better but he simply could not be a #1 option and he's carried by the fact that he's got Curry and Klay.

Another way to look at it: put LeBron on the Lakers and that team is on the fringe of being a title contender. Put Draymond on the Lakers and they're still one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Wpnfire 06-23-2016 12:13 PM

Wow, Rose traded to the Knicks.

If you would have told me in 2011 that Rose was going to be traded to the Knicks one day, I would have laughed my ass off. Obviously this trade is a testament to just how dire the Derrick Rose situation has become. The fact that he was traded for aging players and no draft picks is disturbing on multiple levels. Surely they could have gotten something better.

derek 12-29-2016 07:16 PM

Houston Rockets will win the NBA title this year!
